Job Description

Im delighted to be supporting my client in their search for a HR Administrator to join their brilliant HR team in Norwich City Centre.Are you looking for an interesting HR Administration role that gives you exposure to all aspects of HR This is a great role for a person with HR administration or Recruitment experience who is looking to broaden their responsibilities.You will undertake all duties relating to the employee lifecycle including recruitment, on-boarding, contracts, training, wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion. You will also be responsible for accurately processing data and statistical reportsand have excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office 365.This is an office-based role, liaising with staff at all levels of the organisation as well as potential employees throughout the recruitment processes. We are looking for a proven relationship builder and a good communicator who is able to provide supportthrough phone, email, face to face and remotely to provide an excellent service.The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities. You will be process orientated, well organised and a proactive, flexible member of the team.Job purposeProvide administrative support across the full range of HR functions including recruitment, appointment processes, probation, appraisal, sickness absence, data administration, payroll, training and induction.Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration of recruitment and selection including setting up and supporting interviews, preparing employment documentation, handling queries from staff and prospective candidates and appointment documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the dedicated Human Resources email inboxes are checked and that queries are dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Undertake administrative services in support of the HR function, including contracts of employment, starter and leaver processes including casual student workers.
  • Develop and maintain Human Resources software and data and collate and prepare regular management information reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Human Resources statutory returns (eg HESA staff return) and other Human Resources surveys as required.
  • Collect, collate and monitor sickness and absence information including the daily notification to line managers.
  • Take an active role in all aspects of the work of the Human Resources Department from checking eligibility to work in the UK to dealing with a variety of miscellaneous queries.
  • Assist with analysing training needs and organising, promoting and supporting internal training and development events, including the preparation of training materials and evaluation forms for internal events.
  • Provide advice on staff development applications and procedures.
  • Administer the annual Appraisal and Development process and documentation including the recording of training.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the academic staff CVs ensuring these are regularly updated in line with quality audit requirements.
  • Monitor and process the probation system, ensuring timescales are adhered to.
  • Maintain the manual and electronic filing systems, including archiving and destruction of old records where appropriate to comply with relevant legislation including the Data Protection.
Budgetary/Financial/Resource responsibilities:
  • Ensure stationery and relevant office resources are maintained effectively.
  • Responsible for administration of purchase orders and liaising with Finance on all aspects of the Human Resources budgets.
  • Monitor the Human Resources budgets including monitoring expenditure against allocations highlighting any potential issues with the Director Human Resources.
  • Undertake other appropriate duties as may be required from time to time by the Human Resources Manager.
