Applications are invited for a QI Innovation Manager to join the Business Development and Commercialisation team at Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB), based in Norwich, UK.Background:The Quadram Institute (QI) is a strategic partnership between Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB), Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals, the University of East Anglia and BBSRC. QI seeks to conduct world-class bioscience on the impact of food on health anddisease, with an emphasis on diet- and age-associated diseases. A new role of QI Innovation Manager will work across the QI partner organisations to manage the development of new scientific and clinical innovations arising from QI research.The role:All QI partners have a vested interest in enhancing the generation of clinically-relevant impact from research. To drive this impact, QI has developed an innovation management framework to foster new research activities and collaborations, both within QI andbetween QI and industry and other external stakeholders. Operating from within the QIB Business Development and Commercialisation team, the QI Innovation Manager will manage new QI research and clinical innovations and support researchers and clinicians inbuilding relationships with industry, public sector, business intermediaries and funding organisations. The ideal candidate:The ideal candidate will have substantial knowledge and experience of working in a relevant life science or clinical environment in a translational, business development or research commercialisation role. Previous experience of working with business and industrypartners to commercialise research and/or establish pathways for strategic alliance to develop opportunities would be an advantage. The post-holder should have strong stakeholder management skills and have the ability to operate across different organisations- experience of operating within a clinical or healthcare setting would be of particular relevance. Other relevant experience and skills would include fundraising, clinical regulatory affairs, business planning, project management and intellectual propertymanagement.Additional information:Salary on appointment will be within the range £41,193 to £50,448 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
