Job Title: Project Engineer - Highway DesignLocation: NorwichSalary: £39,248 to £43,517 per annumJob Type: Full Time - PermanentWere looking for a highway design Project Engineers to join our busy design office team, working at the heart of Norfolk County Council delivering a range of highway improvement and maintenance projects.Norfolk has one of the longest networks of roads of any county in the UK, and it also has a significant and ambitious programme of major improvement projects, totalling over £0.5bn.Were searching for Project Engineers who will lead a small County Hall based design team to support delivery of a of large major infrastructure projects and the County Councils capital improvement and structural maintenance programmes. The Teams also design,and project manage developer and other externally funded District and Borough Council projects.We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to supervise other members of the team and ensure that all projects comply with standards and good practice. You will carry out all activities that ensure the team is able to deliver projects on time andon budget, as well as assist the completion of all necessary financial monitoring, technical checking and management of Health and Safety.You will work closely with employees of our current professional services provider, WSP (either remotely or embedded within the Norfolk teams) and all key stakeholders to ensure new infrastructure is safe and constructed to all relevant standards.You will have excellent contractual awareness and experience with the ability to build successful relationships with contractors, developers, Local Members and other key stakeholders.Shortlisting will take place on a regular basis and applications reviewed therefore we would encourage you to submit your CV and Supporting Statement at your earliest opportunity.We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.
