Job Description

Reed Accountancy and Finance Norwichare seeking a Finance Reconciliation Specialist to join our clientsPrimary Care finance team on a temporary basis. This role involves a high-profile and confidential project focusing on the reconciliationof the Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). The scheme is critical in supporting GP practices by funding additional staff, allowing doctors to focus on core services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reconciliation of 23/24 claimsand enhancing assurance structures for 24/25, ensuring compliance with specific financial rules.Day to Day of the Role:

  • Conducting detailed reconciliation for the ARRS 23/24 claims.
  • Developing and enhancing assurance structures for the 24/25 period.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Management Team (EMT) to implement enhanced evidence collection processes.
  • Providing a 6-month lead time for practices to adapt to new requirements.
  • Engaging with General Practice staff to collect necessary evidence for the scheme.
  • Working closely with a dedicated team, including two junior members, to streamline evidence collection.
  • Utilising project management skills to run this as a discrete project with clear deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in finance, particularly in audit or reconciliation roles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to define and meet firm deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to work with individuals who may not have a strong financial background.
  • Ability to handle confidential and high-profile projects with discretion.
  • Team player, able to work effectively with an existing team of seven and junior staff members.
  • Proactive in building and enhancing assurance structures.
