Print Manager required for a packaging manufacturer based in the Norwich area. Managing 10 people and 2 presses (KBA). Working under 2 managers.The role is within the operations team and your primary area is print and the management of the print team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of print and ideally previously been a multi colour lithographic printer. Packaging experience orhaving printed on board is an advantage but not essential. Our machinery consists of KBA and Komori Litho sheet fed presses.The business is well invested and resourced. Process control is strong, and the existing team is made up of very high calibre of individuals on both shop floor and in management.Secondly your role is to aid the operations team is to ensure that all areas of the production environment are planned, organised, and manned efficiently and safely to achieve maximum production output.Outside of the general daily duties you must look to maintain a strategy of lean manufacturing across the operation. The objective must be to work smart and efficiently and reduce cost throughout the process. This can be achieved by focusing on time management,maintenance and working best practice.
