Job Description

Flexographic Print ManagerNorwichcirca £35,000-£40,000Excellent package.We have been asked by our client to identify and attract an experienced Print Manager for their Norwich operation. Our client is in the packaging industry and similar experience will clearly be beneficial. The successful applicant will ensure safety forany persons entering the Print Department. Aid productivity and profitability by efficient and cost-effective operations.Key responsibilities

  • Help optimise output by working with both the print team and management team.
  • Monitor and control print quality
  • Manage consumption, and ordering of, solvents, additives and other consumables
  • Ensure accuracy of recorded data
  • Monitor, promote and maintain good housekeeping on the presses and surrounding areas
  • Help promote professional and considerate relations amongst printers and the wider team
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Allocate and manage staff resources
  • Recruit printers, as and when necessary/authorised by the Operations Manager
  • Record and monitor holiday and absence.
  • Discipline when necessary and in accordance with the company handbook.
Requirements
  • Flexographic print knowledge and experience
  • Have previously held a managerial position
  • Organised and calm under pressure
  • Computer literate
  • Good leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Ability to implement improvements & cost saving initiatives.
  • Help drive change by demonstrating the benefits of implementing new procedures and workflows
The role has an attractive starting salary between £35,000-£40,000 for the right person per annum. While working hours are, of course, flexible to a degree in a 24 hour/day operation, they will essentially be based around 9-5, Monday to Friday.
