Would you like to join our dedicated, passionate and hardworking Sample collection team at LextoxLextox is a part of the SYNLAB Group of companies and are a UK based forensic toxicology laboratory with a team of experts who have considerable knowledge and experience of analysing biological samples. By analysing hair samples, we can provide an historic profile of drug use over a period of months, and help determine chronic excessive alcohol consumption, generally within 5 working days of receiving the sample into our UK laboratory. Our forensic toxicology laboratory, based in Cardiff, provides a fast, efficient and reliable drug and alcohol testing service.Our mission is to provide solicitors and local authorities involved in family law with the information that is needed to help make informed decisions.Requirements:We are seeking an experienced, professional phlebotomists for ad hoc casual position within our sample collections team to support collections in the Norwich and Ipswich area.Ideally, candidates must be professionally qualified phlebotomists with at least 2 years’ experience in various venepuncture techniques (vacutainer, butterfly etc) and be able to collect samples in non-clinical settings Experience in collecting hair samples and DNA samples would be an advantage, full training will be provided for these aspects of the role involving sample collections.Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, be superb communicators both written and verbally. They will have a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.The role entails attending pre booked assignments at various locations subject to client demand therefore, candidates must have a full driving licence and be prepared to travel in, and around specific areas based on their location within the UK. Assignments will generally be within a 2-hour radius of a collector’s home address by car.Access to your own vehicle is essential, successful applicants will be paid on a per collection basis only, plus appropriate travel expenses will be paid and including fuel, parking fees, and sample postage. Collections assignments will generally be at either a solicitor’s office, local authority office or donor’s home; appropriate PPE will be provided.Successful candidates will become an integral part of a leading drug and alcohol testing company in the UK.
