Job Description

Pure are currently recruiting on behalf of a professional organisation based in Norfolk, who are seeking a Payroll Team Leader to join the team on a temp to perm basis. Key Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Processing and administering all aspects of payroll and benefits
  • Running a large end to end monthly payroll for companies staff
  • Ensuring payroll legislations are met at all times, and producing effective audit trails
  • Calculate and process SSP, SMP, SPP
  • Salary BACS submissions
  • All reporting related to payroll for senior management
  • Process pensions
  • Communicate directly with the HMRC
  • Improving payroll systems and processes
  • Dealing with all stuff queries relating to payroll
  • General Management of the Payroll Team
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Personal Skills and Qualifications required:
  • CIPP Qualified, or actively studying towards the qualification (qualified by experience will be considered)
  • People Management experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of HMRC legislations, PAYE and Pensions.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, and work under time pressures
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of UK payroll, Pensions, Auto-enrolment
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent Excel skills, including formulae, pivot tables and VLOOKUP
