Job Description

NXTGEN are excited to be working with a hugely successful business based just outside of Norwich City Centre, who are looking to bring in a payroller with various accounts assistant duties. The company are going from strength to strength and due to theircontinued expansion, they are looking to continue to add to their finance team in Norwich. As payroll and accounts assistant, you will report directly into the finance director and play a key role supporting multiple sectors within the business. Your primaryrole will be to fulfil the admin tasks associated to the payroll process.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with employee tax code changes, statutory payments and process both starters and leavers
  • Processing weekly end to end payroll for all employees
  • Weekly submissions to HMRC
  • Preparation of payroll files for validation
  • Review and process supplier invoices
  • Being first point of contact for any payroll related queries
  • Various ad-hoc payroll and accounting duties when required
The ideal candidate will have an AAT/CIPP qualification or have done equivalent payroll/bookkeeping courses. You will need to have clear working experience within a payroll or accounting environment with knowledge and experience using Sage payroll softwareof similar, as well as being a confident user of Excel.
