Job Description

At M+A Partners, our focus is to bring together professional accounts, audit and tax expertise with practical, forward-looking advice that adds value. We have a new opportunity for a Personal Assistant to the Accounts and Tax Partner within our Norwich office.The RoleThe role is to provide administrative and organisational support service to our Accounts and Tax Partner, providing them with the ability to perform their role efficiently.Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a high quality secretarial and organisational support service;
  • Managing and maintaining appointments, travel arrangements and diaries;
  • Effective management of Outlook diaries, assessing priority of appointments and action as necessary;
  • Provide support for a wide range of meetings. This will include preparing agendas, meeting papers, taking minutes and following up on action points;
  • Deal with all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner, re-directing or taking messages and using initiative to deal with queries;
  • Delegating incoming post and email correspondence to portfolio holders and following up to ensure completed;
  • Being the first point of contact, responding to emails and other correspondence;
  • Help to write content for communications;
  • Preparation of various documents including letters, new client forms, financial review documents;
  • Being first point of contact, responding to emails and other correspondence;
  • Maintaining databases and spreadsheets;
  • Carrying out a variety of administrative tasks related to the management of client accounts;
  • Sending bills to clients;
  • Liaising with finance department to manage debtors list;
  • Booking and recording CPD;
  • Amending and approving letters in the client database; and
  • Organising and maintaining effective filing systems.
Additional duties may include assisting other Partners of the Firm during holiday seasons or where work demands.The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a background as a Personal Assistant, preferably working with senior levels. They will have good written and verbal communication and be able to work in a sensitive and confidential manner, with strong time management and organisationskills.The candidate will have a willingness to learn, excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to tight or spontaneous deadlines.BIO Phil joined M+A Partners in early 2022, in the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the firm, Phil was Managing Director of a food import business for ten years.As Chief Operating Officer, Phil oversees the strategic and operational direction of the firm to enable Partners and the wider M+A team to be as effective as possible in the delivery of their services to clients.“Making sure we are resourceful, responsive and operationally efficient is key to helping our team deliver a high quality of client service. CONTACTBIO Rebecca joined M+A Partners in April 2020 as our HR Manager.Having worked in HR since 2008, Rebecca has a wide breadth of experience from various sectors and HR positions.Prior to joining M+A Partners, Rebecca worked in HR for a global marketing agency and gin and whisky business in London, before relocating back to Norfolk in 2013 and taking a HR role advising for an independent insurance broker and financial planning company.Rebecca works collaboratively with the various teams and offices across the firm, providing advice and strategy for the effective management of HR.Rebecca has completed a Certificate in HR Practice and a Diploma in HR Management. CONTACTBIO Emma joined M+A Partners in September 2021 as our HR Coordinator on a Maternity Cover basis.Emma graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a First Class Honours degree in Psychology in 2017.Prior to joining M+A Partners, Emma worked in HR for a large International Retailer based in Norfolk and a Conservation and Education Charity based in Norfolk and Suffolk.Emma provides assistance across the firm to coordinate effective HR Management.
