Job Description

Remote Part-Time Assistant Accountant (22.5 hours per week)Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for a flexible remote working opportunity We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our client as a Part-Time Assistant Accountant. This role offers the flexibility of remote work,allowing you to manage your workload from the comfort of your own home.Role and Responsibilities:In this role, you will be responsible for a range of essential accounting tasks, including:

  • Performing bookkeeping duties such as bank reconciliation, processing purchase invoices, and sales invoices.
  • Managing credit control to ensure timely payments from customers.
  • Handling supplier payments and conducting weekly payment runs using Xero.
  • Reconciling pre-paid expense cards and assisting with expense management, receipt processing, credit card handling, and other administrative matters.
  • Collating and processing journals accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintaining the P&L account and Balance Sheet on Xero, ensuring accurate coding and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Finance to contribute to management accounts and year-end accounts.
  • Preparing reconciliations between accounts data and project budgets.
  • Providing support to in-house Producers to ensure effective budget management and adherence to financial best practices.
Skills and Experience:To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
  • AAT qualified/part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to work effectively under pressure with a positive attitude.
