We are looking for 2x Overhead Fibre Cabling Engineers to work on an initial 6 month contract starting in Norwich. This role has the possibility of becoming permanent and will suit people with strong operational experience in overheadfibre cable install on the Openreach network.Overhead Fibre Cabling Engineer responsibilities will include:- Working in Openreach cabinets completing fibre connections- Providing new installations on new and existing BT polesInstallation of overhead fibre cables - Connection into customer premisesWe are keen to speak to people about these Overhead Fibre Cabling Engineer roles that have the following skills and experience:- Comfortable working at heights- Previous overhead fibre installation experience and hold valid BT accreditations- A valid NRSWA Street works Operative Licence Unit 2- NOPS registration- IPAF Certificate cherry picker (preferred)- Full driving licence- First aid qualificationPlease state in your application if you hold any of the following Openreach accreditations- SA001 Overhead Safety- SA002 Underground Safety- F002 Jointing Closures- F006 Sleeves 34- F009 In line & Capend Mechanical Closures- K003 Lightweight Aerial Cabling- K004 Heavyweight Aerial Cabling- K007 Telenco Aerial CablingThe company operates on either a 5 or 10 day shift Monday – Friday and Tuesday – Thursday. In return, the Openreach Engineer will receive a pay rate of £250.00 - £350.00 per day (accommodation NI). Due to the nature of this role candidates should already have had a valid CRB check done within the last 3-6 months.For successful applicants, video interviews will be conducted via Zoom or WhatsApp / onsite in the Norwich depot. This role has a one-stage-interview process and positionsare available to start immediately.
