Your work will make a dramatic impact on the organisation and how its IT systems evolve. £40 - £45k + 10% On call + benefitsNorwich based with a very flexible approach to home workingThe Role:Your job will be to manage and develop the security-related infrastructure of a major Norwich based institution. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the management of IDS/IPS, Firewall(s), Forensics and VPN gateway. This role also includes responsibility for advising on information security/compliance for the organisation, including GDPR. The ideal candidate:You will have a background in network engineering with a more recent focus on security and data protection. Experience of firewalls/IPS/IDE, VPN, WAN/LAN switching and routing configuration is essential. Candidates should also have experience of progressing level 2 and 3 support and project work.Ideally, you will have a good understanding of penetration testing with the ability to advise upon and assist with remediation of issues found across diverse platforms.Technical Skills required:* Recent, significant experience in an IT centric role plus experience working in an enterprise level IT Network Security role * Extensive hands-on experience of security technologies, such as: Juniper, Checkpoint (CCSA ideal), Tipping Point, Bluecoat and RSA * Working on and delivering a varied project and support-based workload * CCNA or equivalent level background in network devices including (but not limited to), layer 2 and 3 functionality * Experience configuring & supporting remote access/VPN technologies In return you will receive The organisation is a fantastic place for you to really make your mark, with a real focus on learning and development opportunities its an excellent way to expand your horizons, gain certifications and improve your professional development within a world renowned organisation You will also have access to a benefits package, this includes a competitive salary, generous pension scheme and a whole host of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle needs.
