Job Description

Multi-skilled Maintenance TechnicianOur client, a prestigious, international manufacturing company, based in Norwich, are currently seeking an Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician for an immediate start!This is a full-time position Monday to Friday 39 hours per week paying a very competitive salary.Do you have

  • An NVQ level 3 in a mechanical maintenance discipline.
  • Relevant hands on experience in engineering maintenance, minimum 3 years.
  • Be computer literate and have basic electrical skills.
If so, this could be the role for youReporting to the Workshop Manager, the Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician will cover:
  • Mechanical maintenance on a variety of process plant including; pumps, vessels, separation equipment, heat exchangers, hydraulic /pneumatic and piping systems.
  • Reading and interpreting technical/engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Basic electrical work on such items as electric motors and starter circuits
  • CMMS report writing and record keeping.
  • Operation and maintenance of the CHP plant, which includes gas compression, steam generation, electricity generation.
  • Daily and weekly monitoring of plant.
  • Equipment failure Root Cause Analysis.
  • Promote and adhere to high standards of housekeeping and engineering hygiene.
Additional Information
  • Membership or recognition by a relevant nationally recognised body e.g. Engineering Council.
  • The successful candidates will need to be flexible with a positive attitude.
  • Have the ability to work within teams and on an individual basis.
  • An understanding of boiler operations, maintenance and repair would be an advantage.
  • These posts are regarded as an important role in maintaining a high level of availability of the process plants therefore participation in a contractual call-out system is a condition of this post.
  • Training will be given to the successful candidate to work effectively within a modern 24/7 chemical production unit
