Job Description

Are you an experienced receptionist seeking a new challangeLook no further!An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 receptionists to join a Medical Group in Norwich NR7.As front-of-house, you will be the first face patients to the medical group.You will project a professional image in-person and through phone interaction and provide general administrative support. This part-time role requires a dynamic, organised and tech-savvyindividual.Contract: 8 weeks temporary work, with the intension of going permanent for all four positions subject to the right mindset and attitude.Pay: £9.50ph hourLocation: Norwich NR7Hours: Various shift patterns with a minimum of 18 hours per week and a maximum of 30 hours per week. Must be able to start as early as 8am and finish as late as 7pm some shifts. There is also the potential that you may be required to work1 in 14 Saturdays.Purpose of the role:

  • Conduct reception duties and clerical tasks for the practice team, projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare in a courteous and efficient way.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare authorities.
Duties & responsibilities:
  • Opening up/locking-up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice procedures
  • Utilise and populate the appointment system for patients according to Surgery processes
  • Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Reception front desk greeting of patients and visitors.
  • Processing and distributing mail
  • Taking messages and passing on information
  • Filing, photocopying, scanning and retrieval of paperwork
  • Data entry, interrogation, and collation; processing and recording patient information in accordance with practice procedures
  • Responsible for the upkeep of noticeboards and leaflet dispensers, ensuring all up to date and discarding old items.
