Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer | Hybrid/North Norfolk | £35k - £45kLangham are excited to be working with a reputable North Norfolk-based company that offers industry-leading machinery to an extensive list of clients throughout the world, including Porsche, Nestle, and Bosch.Due to ongoing success and the companys expansion plans, they are looking for multiple Mechanical Design Engineers to join their team.As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be in charge of creating mechanical designs in 3D (mainly in SolidWorks) for a variety of products and applications.Responsibilities:

  • Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements
  • Customer liaison for projects
  • Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required
  • Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production
  • Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time
Requirements:
  • Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD or similar
  • A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork (prior experience with Stainless Steel is advantageous)
  • Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time
  • The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects
  • The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range
