Mechanical Design EngineerNorwich, Norfolk£35,000 - £38,000 + Pension + progression + holidayDo you have Mechanical Design Engineering experience from the offshore industryAre you looking for a technically challenging role with variety and progression to senior rolesThis company are a specialist in the offshore industry offering engineering service to support operators, service companies and rig.In this role you will be acting under the guidance of the Design Team Manager, the role requires technical solutions and detail designing from full assemblies to individual components. In addition to this, youll be required to provide deliverables for the purpose of evaluating design alternatives, cost estimation and establishing manufacturing routes whilst acting as a focal point for Mechanical technical matters on specific projects.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a HND in design engineering or equivalent and have experience in a structural and mechanical design role in the offshore sector.This is a great role to engage your passion for Engineering, working within a team of highly skilled engineers and being involved in a number of different projects that will stretch your abilities and really challenge your engineering mind.The role:*3D Mechanical Design using SolidWorks *Undertake Mechanical and Structural calculations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) *Plan design work to meet the key project milestones and delivery points by use of deadlines *Support the sales effort to develop / review design solutions, resource and delivery plans in support of company proposalThe person:* Youll need to be a time served Engineer with a minimum HND in Design Engineering. *Experience with Structural & Mechanical design in the offshore environment, both topside & subsea. *Proven people management experience. *Experience of working with Structural/FEA software packages.This vacancy is being advertised by Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd.
