Job Description

Mechanic - Contractor / Self EmployedLocation: Positions available throughout UK, Field Based.Contract: Self Employed Contractor BasisAre you currently a Self-Employed Mechanical Engineer or Automotive Mechanic looking for work on a contractor basisIf so, DEKRA Automotive want to hear from you!As we take on more clients, we are in need of qualified Mechanics and Vehicle Inspectors in various locations across the UK. Services DEKRA offer include:

  • Servicing
  • MOT
  • Pre-Purchase Inspections
  • Warranty Evaluations
  • General Vehicle Maintenance Inspections and many more…
    • You will be responsible for carrying out inspections on behalf of DEKRA, providing thorough and accurate reports whilst delivering exceptional customer service!Requirements
  • Limited company or use of Umbrella Company
  • Able to provide your own transport, tools and testing equipment to carry out vehicle inspections.
  • Five years previous experience in formal vehicle maintenance, servicing or MOT
  • City & City Level 3 or an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance
  • Preferably be a member of the IMI or IRTE
  • Meet DEKRA minimum insurance requirements
  • Hold Motor Trade Road Risk insurance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to complete reports digitally (apps are provided by DEKRA)
