Michelle Denny Recruitment is working alongside a prestigious global tech business in Norwich and were looking for a Materials Supply Chain & Forecasting Manager for the Norwich site. Salary is £40,000pa plus £5,000 bonus and is a full time and permanent,site based role.This is such a varied and challenging role - youll be putting to good use your excellent planning and forecasting skills, managing all aspects of forecasting, planning, sourcing and execution to achieve the objectives below:* To manage all aspects of the supply chain for materials forecasted and received by customers to fulfil demand.* Optimise the commercial position by the achievement of key KPIs, always ensuring the company is holding the right level of stock available to cover the business demands without excess stocks being held.* To undertake full responsibility for the P+L delivery surrounding all alternative sourced parts onsite.Principal Responsibilities, reporting directly to the Site Director:* Working with business managers to accurately develop forward looking models and ways of working to identify and accurately forecast, demand for materials, sourced from numerous global partners.* Ensure stock levels are monitored constantly and any aging stocks are highlighted with proposals of how to utilise across the business to minimise the aging of stock.* Manage all consumables across the site and ensure sufficient stock levels are on hand to support the full operation.* Manage all 3rd party suppliers and challenges for price reductions based on usage and ageing of products in the markets* Working closely with the team to ensure original part requirements + orders align vs usage of alternative parts to prevent excess stock exposure.* Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly summary packs to demonstrate performance standards and work collaboratively with all other members of the team to assist in the delivery of the company goals.* Take direct responsibility for the management of direct reports and build a team with the appropriate capabilities in order to support the goals of the company.* Manage all aspects of forecasting sourcing, procurement and stock, achieving both customer and company KPIs across key customer programmes.Ideal experience & qualifications:* Understanding of the service/manufacturing industry* Awareness of technologies, products, customers and competitors ideally within the telecoms industry* Awareness of H&S legislation (i.e. COSHH, RoHS and duties of care)* Business systems ISO14001/2004, ISO9001:2000* P&L accounting* Qualification in Project Management and/or Electronic Repair would be advantageousIdeal skills & attributes:* Forecasting and planning skills* Excellent communication and presentation skills* Strong leadership qualities* Highly influential and persuasive* Capable of dealing with complex commercial matters* Ability to manage difficult situations and resolve escalations* Highly developed Commercial and Financial awareness* Strong decision maker* Customer relationship focused* Business development expertise* Flexibility towards working hours* Willingness to travel both within and outside of the UK and Europe* Smart and businesslike appearanceThis is a stimulating, thought-provoking job, with huge potential to make a genuine contribution to the business, whilst progressing your material/planning career.We have a detailed job description, so if you would like to find out much more, please get in touch with Michelle Denny and we can talk through, or simply apply online.
