Job Description

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, creative and commercially aware Marketing Assistant to join the Marketing department of a well-established, internally known company.The main purpose of the role is to communicate and promote the companys services to their various stakeholders. This would be ideal for an experienced Marketer who has worked within a large company.Job Title: Marketing AssistantContract: Temporary Salary: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour plus holiday pay Start date: ASAPLocation: Dereham & AylshamWorking days: Part-time, 3 days a weekWorking hours: 8 hours per day Your responsibilities as a Marketing Assistant:

  • To develop, agree and manage communications plans and campaigns on behalf of the business and its partners
  • Conducting regular reviews of plans, monitoring and taking action to ensure communications targets are met
  • Constantly review communications tools and channels to identify and implement innovative and creative new forms of communications, in order to appeal to new and changing target markets
  • Working closely with the Senior Manager to provide high quality, accessible and appropriate information to stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate with all suppliers required for the communications plan, e.g. graphic designers, merchandise companies, venues, caterers etc.
  • Attend meetings, where necessary to report progress and discuss ideas and strategy
  • Develop opportunities to promote the features and results of campaigns, both internally and externally, including posting articles in newsletters and on the companys intranet
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered to budget and deadline
    • To be a successful Marketing Assistant you will have:
  • At minimum 3 years experience working within a Marketing based role - this is essential
  • Extensive experience in campaign management and delivery - this is essential
  • A good understanding of the marketing communication processes, e.g. design, print, event management etc.
  • Experience working within a large organisation, and be familiar with processes
  • A proven track record of implementing new ideas in terms of communications tools and channels, including measures of success
  • Familiarity with and a regular user of new technology and social media
  • An understanding of new media and social networking, e.g. twitter, Facebook, iPhone apps etc.
  • IT skills - MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel - Preference also for DTP/Design package, SAP business management software
