Job Description

We are thrilled to be representing the council, and their hunt for a senior maintenance & repairs project manager. This is a temporary position forecast to be ongoing for the next 12 months.The Council is insourcing its repairs and maintenance services from April 22 to a new wholly owned company which is taking all environmental service delivery on from April 21.Key Requirements:• Track record in transforming and or insourcing responsive repairs and maintenance services, delivering a high quality, innovative internal reactive repairs and major works maintenance service that is delivered right first time, with high levels of satisfaction – including the following experience:o Developing implementation plans and transition plans to ensure minimal disruption to customer facing services on day 1, including development of risk mitigations, contingency plans, and business continuity plans.o Experience of supporting the transition of staff to a new operating model.o Supporting the design and development of the organisation structure required to deliver the operating model.• Experience of leading the design and implementation of the operational processes and infrastructure required to deliver housing/building maintenance and repairs services that comply with SHEQ policy requirements and ensure maximum operational efficiency.• Have detailed knowledge of all relevant health and safety and property/landlord compliance regulations, guidance, and legislation, including electrical, asbestos, legionella, CDM, fire safety, gas management, HHSRS, PUWER, COSHH, LOLER and the right to repair.• Experience of leading/working in project teams including:o Working with IT to lead on the specification of system requirements to inform the development of systems to support the function.o Working with Procurement, to lead on the specification of contracts and assets required to support the delivery of services.Due to the urgent nature of this role you will ideally need to be immediately available for work, and already have good experience working in a comparable role.Please feel free to contact for more information.
