Job Description

Maintenance person/ Caretaker - permanent position/ Norwichsalary up to £21K per annum Contract Personnel is looking for an experienced Maintenance person/ Caretaker to work for our client a well know prep-school in Norwich.The successful candidate will have excellent general maintenance knowledge and experience, competent in assisting as well as performing in house repairs and preventative maintenance work, ensuring that all tools are kept in a safe operating condition.The Caretaker will:

  • Carry out all types of repair and maintenance work in multi-skilled environment allied to, ideally specialising in disciplines like paining and carpentry.
  • Ensure the site and working areas are always kept tidy, and assist in the co-ordination of room and event set ups.
  • Be responsible for site security as required including gate/door security.
  • Use proprietary software to log, raise and prioritise maintenance tasks.
  • Generate and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and asset auditing.
The successful candidate will have good multi trade maintenance repair skills and proactive attitude to support the estate team in a wide range of maintenance tasks. A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work from ladders, scaffold, or in confinedspace.Valid clean UK driving licence.This is a permanent position, full-time 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday.£20,475 per annum, 25 holidays per year plus bank holidays.If this is something you are interested in, please send your CV to or call Paulina on .
