Maintenance Engineer - Norwich - £35,500 - Full-timeOur client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Norwich. They are seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their team and maintain their Uteco printing presses and Hudson Sharp Conversion machines.Key Responsibilities:• Undertake repairs as requested by Senior Maintenance Engineer and/or Shift Leads, while responding to breakdowns within a reasonable timescale of the notification.• Monitor Shoplogix for potential faults and breakdown times.• Monitor and control quality, ensuring that any defective product is highlighted to Senior Maintenance Engineer, divisional manager, or a Team Leader and that it is removed, replaced, or repaired and recorded correctly.• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks as per the maintenance schedule.• Identify potential improvements to equipment and communicate these to the relevant persons.• Create an accurate record of completed work with details of parts used, maintaining the housekeeping and hygiene standards set by the Company, and ensuring that all paperwork is completed.Key Requirements:• Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings, AC and DC drives, PLC’s, motors, single and 3 phase systems.• A working knowledge of all major printing and conversion processes.• Good communication and organisational skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.• Proactive, positive, and enthusiastic, with a "can do" attitude.Salary and Benefits:Depending on experience and qualifications, our client offers a competitive starting salary from £35,500 per year, with excellent overtime rates.
