Job Description

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving Local Authority, based in Norfolk, which is in need of an experienced Licensing and Prosecutions Lawyer to join their team and attend court when required. If you would like to find out more about the role, then please read on!ROLE: Licensing and Prosecutions LawyerRATE: £45-£60phLOCATION: Norfolk - attend court potentially three times a weekCONTRACT LENGTH: 3 month rollingThe role will require court attendance and this could potentially be up to three times a weekThe duties invoked in the Licensing and Prosecutions Lawyer role:

  • Handle a mixed caseload of Licensing and Prosecutions law matters from start to completion
  • Attend court as and when required. This will likely include enforcement court action as well as legal advisory work
  • Cases can involve the Licensing Act 2003, food hygiene and health and safety matters
The person:
  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with 2+ years of PQE in Licensing and Prosecutions law
  • Someone who is confident in attending court and has experience in enforcement court action
  • Ideally someone with local authority experience although the council will consider someone with private sector experience who is looking to move into the public sector
