Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a well-regarded law firm based in Norwich.This role is part of a strong team that work closely to provide a first-class cashiering service to the firm some of the duties you can expect in your role will include:

  • Receiving incoming cheques
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Sending and receiving money
  • Checking completion statements
  • Processing bills and assisting with their preparation
  • Preparing cheques
  • Transfers
  • Journals
  • Petty cash
  • Taking card payments
  • Foreign account transactions
They are looking for someone who has a strong cashiering background but does not necessarily have a legal background, if you have the following skills:
  • Knowledge of client accounting system including reconciliation to bank accounts
  • Previous experience in a Cashiering role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Motivated, pro-active and highly organised
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to prioritise and manage a busy workload
  • Knowledge of SRA rule and regulations relating to client accounts would be advantageous but not essential.
