Job Description

Are you experienced within Legal Administration Seeking a new role Look no further!Reed are recruiting for a city centre law firm for a Administrator / Receptionist to join their team on a full time permanent basis within the family department.The role to ensure that the clients and referrers are kept informed throughout the mediation process, and to provide direct support to the mediators to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency. This will include and will not be limited to the main responsibilitieslisted below.

  • Answer all telephone enquiries directed to the telephone number specified for the mediation administrator, in a friendly manner, maintaining the firms standard of client care.
  • To include dealing with all mediation enquiries made by a client calling into the office without an appointment.
  • Make appointments and maintain an up to date diary for the mediators, partners and fee earners.
  • To make any telephone calls and type any letters or documents relating to the mediation process, as requested to do so by the mediators.
  • To deal with any other administrative issues required to run an efficient mediation service.
  • Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening and closing of client files, in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the firms policies and procedures manual.
  • To assist with securing and maintaining LSC contracts.
  • Prepare mail and enclosures for despatch
  • Arrange for copying to be done
  • Provide refreshments when asked to do so.
  • Provide support to secretaries when required to do so to include preparing correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing
  • To assist with the general smooth running of the office, including providing cover for reception at certain times of the day
  • Undertake specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
  • Ensure the confidentially of all the firms and clients documentation and information.
