Job Description

Lead Therapeutic PractitionerLocation: NorwichSalary: £32,909 - £34,723 per annum FTE (£29,725 - £32,031 pro rata) including an allowance for holiday payOur client is a dynamic, nurturing learning community with the highest expectations and aspirations for their students and staff. They are committed to ensuring all their students succeed and embrace the opportunities and experiences available to them.The RoleThe Lead Therapeutic Practitioner is an essential role within the SEND team, responsible for the delivery of SEMH intervention programmes for students with SEMH difficulties as directed by the SENDCO. The responsibilities are varied but will include:

  • Effectively using a Graduated Approach in planning, delivering and leading a range of therapeutic individual and small group interventions to meet the individual needs of the students, including CBT, Thrive etc.
  • Identifying, tracking and reviewing student progress, demonstrating the impact of intervention programmes and providing advice and support to teaching colleagues.
  • Coordinate referrals to other SEMH professionals and agencies to support the individualised packages of support under the direction of the SENDCo, including referrals to Ormiston Smiles, CAMHS, Point 1, Nelson’s Journey and so on.
  • To contribute to personalised learning plans including: IEPs, pupil profiles, EHCP reviews and behaviour plans to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the needs of individual learners.
