Job Description

Our client, a Global Packaging Manufacturer, is currently seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their well-established team on a 2-month FTC for an immediate start.Do you have

  • Experience in working in manufacturing industry
  • Experience working in IT ticketing system such as ServiceNow or Remedy
If so, this could be the role for you!The core responsibility for this role is to take care for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Regional Infrastructure devices and applications. As the IT Support Engineer, you will be the key interface with the plant management and is responsibleto ensure IT solution deployed on location is relevant for the business, focusing on user experience while conforming to all central IT standards.Skills and Knowledge Requirements:- 5+ years relevant industry experience (relevant degree and certification preferred)- Provide general IT support and serve as a single point of contact for plant users- Sound understanding of IT best practices and ability to learn- Excellent knowledge in supporting Microsoft and its interconnection products (Office 365, OneDrive, Win10/Win7, Active Directory, server 2012-2019, remote desktop, terminal server, virtualisation)- Good understanding of basic network topology, access points, IP, DNS routing, switching in warehouse/plant operating environment- Ability to administer and setup domains, group policy and users- Approachable, friendly and put business continuity and impact first- Ability to work in a team of international environment and matrix organisation- Natural problem solver, flexible and able to prioritise tasks under pressure- Desire to grow and take on additional responsibilities- Some lifting / carrying /ladder climbing / working platforms greater than 4 meters- Driver licenses, the role will require travel to other UK locationsThe ideal candidate will be responsible for second level support and continuous improvement of IT services.
