Job Description

Our client is a leading public sector employer based in Norwich. Due to expansion they require a Interim Communications Officer to join the team until April 2022, possibly longer.Pay: £14.38Hours: 37.5Location: Working from home. `Job Purpose:

  • Working to the Internal Communications Manager, the Internal Communications Officer will deliver communication activity in support of the clients transformation and internal communications strategies.
  • In particular they are responsible for identifying good practice in their work, highlighting and disseminating such practice.
  • They will run day to day refreshes of the intranet site and will deputise for the Senior Internal Communications Officer when necessary.
Accountability:
  • Under the guidance of the Internal Comms Manager, and working with senior members and officers:
  • To help deliver the clients internal communications strategy to increase awareness of clients activities and behavioural change targets.
  • Develop internal plans in support of key client communications objectives.
  • Develop materials, both print and electronic in support of such plans.
  • Act as contact with services to support internal communications work.
  • Look after the day to day running of the staff intranet.
  • Provide support and advice to senior officers on internal communications matters, covering a wide range of publications and materials, including print, electronic and social media.
  • Produce high quality copy for clients publications, both internal and external, including the staff intranet and Friday Takeaway.
  • Act as day to day contact with client services for the delivery of internal communications.
  • Have particular responsibility for ensuring good practice in the client, is identified and published across the client.
  • To assist in the delivery of communications training courses to increase the understanding of marketing and build capacity across the authority.
  • To develop and manage systems for the collection, collation and dissemination of statistical data for internal comms required by NCC for internal communication campaign design and evaluation.
The Successful candidate will:
  • Be available to start immediately
  • Degree level or appropriate professional qualification (NCTJ, CIPR, CIM) essential
  • Minimum three years working in a HR environment
