Job Description

Interim People Business Partner - 6-month FTCBristol, London, Norwich, York or Perth Here at Aviva we are keen to engage with a commercially minded HR Business Partner to undertake a six-month contract (to cover an internal secondment). The post-holder will be aligned to our COO function, partnering with senior stakeholders across our ITdivision. Therefore, being able to demonstrate prior exposure to partnering with an IT business area for a large corporate, like Aviva, is highly desirable for this contract.Alongside showcasing exceptional senior stakeholder management skills, the post-holder will also need to demonstrate excellent operational HR experience across areas such as: organisational development & design / talent management & succession planning /and transformation & change management.Aviva introduced "smart-working" in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will be required to travel (as required) to all our offices and also needs to be based a commutable distance to one of our offices: Bristol, London,Norwich, York or Perth.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with leaders to help them make the right decisions for their area, helping to shape and recommend a fit for purpose people strategy/plan aligned to Avivas IT division (both as a back office function as well as embedded as part of our General Insuranceand Life divisions)
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders with a focus on driving the IT divisions leadership, succession, employee engagement, culture and talent plans
  • Lead organisational design initiatives, from concept through to operating model design and implementation, ensuring alignment to organisational design principles
  • Ensure the business area has the capability required to deliver both current and future business priorities, including attracting and retaining a talented, diverse future workforce
  • Accountability for delivering major change programmes or project work-streams within the IT division across Aviva
  • Regular attendance at divisional SLT meetings, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing up to Director level
Skills & Experience required
  • Extensive experience working at HR Business Partner level
  • Prior experience working for a large corporate business, ideally within Financial Services, Technology or Telecommunications sector(s)
  • Experience of partnering with leaders within an IT focused division is highly desirable
  • Highly commercial outlook, matched with a straight-forward communication style
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Team player with a collaborative working style
  • CIPD qualification and/or relevant degree
  • Availability to start a new role by August and commit to a 6-month contract
What will you get for this role
  • Annual salary of £50,000 to £70,000, depending on skills, location, experience and qualifications (pro-rata)
