Job Description

The Opportunity:We are currently recruiting for an ICT Manager to join our IT Department,based in the heart of Norwich. This role is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-pace environment and offer personable and professional in-house support to the firm. The team offers comprehensive remoteassistance on a day-to-day basis for our offices based in Norfolk.The Candidate:We are seeking candidates who have extensive knowledge of the IT field and have practical experience of providing employees with support and resolutions to their queries. We are looking for someone to take an overview of our ICT systems, make improvementsand begin the process of evolving our ICT to systems that fully support the services we provide and to fully enable hybrid working.As you will be managing the IT department, the below skills must be demonstrated as they are key components of this role:

  • The ability to manage a small team and evaluate performance
  • Continually assisting with the improvement of the IT helpdesk, taking onboard relevant feedback whilst also adhering to agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure the department provides consistent support throughout the firm, to all offices and staff and respond to tickets raised within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintaining the smooth running of systems used by the firm and resolve issues in a timely manner, recording resolutions for ongoing support sharing this information within the IT team
  • Take ownership of the execution of IT projects
  • Manage the department budget and liaise regularly with the COO to ensure the team is aligned with the firms strategic goals and expectations
  • Possess a varied knowledge of IT systems and manage the firms:
We value practical experience for this role, including the management of the below areas:
  • Server administration; MS environment such as Windows server, Exchange, Windows OS, M365, AD, GPOs, Admin Centre, Backups and AV support and maintenance
  • Remote Desktop Services, (in preparation for potential cloud based (Azure or Google) migration, so previous experience of migrating to Azure, Google Workspace or similar services is essential)
  • Network administration; TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, DNS, DHCP support and maintenance
  • AV solution (2FA, M365, Practice Management Software and other standard third party SaaS solutions including cloud backups)
  • DR and BCP and testing
  • VM solution, outsourcing to the AZURE platform, for internal management
  • Technical environment of Cisco Routers, Switches, Access Points, WatchGuard Firewalls and LAN
