Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic HR professional to join the team. The HR department is a key department within the company, forming a significant hub for employee support, organisation and information. It is expected to be a driver for ensuringhigh employee morale and coaching management on handling employee relations issues.Reporting to the Deputy HR Manager, this positionis vital to the management of HR/people activity across multiple offshore and onshore sites. The main areas of focus will be managing employee relations, coaching/supporting managers on current HR/people strategy,and headcount management. The role is also responsible for the oversight of employee administration for these areas based in Norwich.Perenco is a leading independent Oil & Gas Company operating in 14 countries across the globe, ranging from Northern Europe to Africa and from Latin America to Southeast Asia. This opportunity will be working for our UK subsidiary which manages onshore andoffshore operations in the Southern North Sea.This is a full-time office based role in Norwich.Key Responsibilities Include:HR Business Partner roleo To understand the Companys short/medium- & long-term goals and be prepared to implement, influencing Senior Managers to achieve these through good HR practiceo Provide technical HR support and expertise to the business for specific related projectso Deliver a pro-active HR service that identifies gaps and offers solutions to drive cost efficiencieso Work with the team to develop a cultural environment where the employees feel their personal contribution to the results of the organisation are recognised, against the backdrop of an industry with financial challenges2022 Project Worko Support transition to new HR and Payroll system through checking of data, simplification of processes and key milestone dates metChange Managemento Successfully manage all contractual changes, either directly or through delegationo Support management with any change processeso Act as lead where major changes are required, within the above areas of responsibilityo Act as an ambassador for company initiatives and HR / development related programmesEmployee Relationso This role will be the primary point of contact for high level local employee queries when on-siteo Participant in and contribute to the SNS (Norwich) Employee Forumo Assist in monitoring and reviewing employee performance, to inform people development and successiono Conducting disciplinary and grievance hearings, consultations etc, as requiredo Supporting the induction of senior managers and expatriate employeesEmployment Lawo Provide advice to managers on all aspects of employment lawo Assist in keeping policies and procedures up to date and relevant to the needs of the businessPayroll/ Remuneration/ Benefitso Collation and verification of information to support payroll - including oversight of overtime, sickness etco Produce information for annual salary/ bonus review processo Assist in maintaining the companys benefits website and actively promote benefits within the business such as Perenco UKs pension schemeEmployee Administration

  • Management oversight of key HR administration, including:
o Ensuring all employee files (both paper/ electronic) are up to date and accurateo Ensuring Data Protection and Immigration law is complied witho Ensuring the accuracy of the monthly payroll processo Ensuring headcount data is accurate and available, including up-to-date organisation chartso Management, both direct and via delegation, of long-term sickness absence across the above areas of responsibilityIn addition, you will be required to support project work as directed by the Deputy HR ManagerKey Requirements Include:Qualifications/ Experience:
  • CIPD qualified or part qualified
  • Experience of managing employee(s)
  • Experience of managing HR activities across a multi-site (national) structure
  • Prior experience in all of the job task areas above
  • Experience of working directly with/coaching senior managers and proven track record of communicating at all levels
  • Previous project experience migrating from one HR system to another is desirable
