Head of Operations/Operations Manager - Creative Software - Film ProductionNorwich, NorfolkFixed Term Contract - 12 month maternity cover - May Start£50,000 to £55,000 + Excellent BenefitsOne of the UK’s leading companies in the field of Creative Software and Film Production used byaward-winning directors, breakout YouTube stars, and budding filmmakers is seeking an interim Head of Operations, Operations Manager for a 12 month maternity leave fixed term contract. You will be right in the heart of the action and support the CEO in all elements of running a successful creative software business (circa 30 FTE). The role would suit someone from a similar background or with relevant experience in areas such as strategy, business development, line management, HR, operations and finance. The company is currently going through an exciting period of growth and there’s a possibility for future career opportunities for the right candidate.Main Tasks & responsibilitiesHead of Operations/COO - Creative Software - Film Production will:> Provide leadership and strategic vision and execution.> Ensure the company’s core business activities in areas such as Finance, HR, Marketing andOperations are performing sufficiently and are meeting legal duties.> Monitor financial/company performance and develop growth initiatives.> Support the company in complex business matters including investment and fundingapproach, grievance and disciplinary issues, change management, legal issues and business> Offer leadership, management and strategic support across the company in addition to linemanaging key colleagues within the business.Core functions will be in and around:# Strategy and Vision# Monitoring# Operations# HR# Team Development/Leadership# Business Development# Legal# FinanceEssential Skills & ExperienceHead of Operations/COO - Creative Software - Film Production> Proven experience as a COO (Chief Operating Officer) or equivalentindustry experience in a senior operations management position or similar.> Able to oversee and monitor company budgets to ensure that the company has the resourcesrequired to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters and to maintain thefinancial strength of the company.> Able to delegate financial responsibilities and ensure the operations team are looking after theday-to-day processing of invoices, royalty payments, money handling procedures, accounting and banking processes.> Able to lead on any investment/grant/funding applications.> Proven leadership experience for a team with diverse levels of expertise.> Demonstrable competency in strategic planning, budget management and business development.> A competent understanding of core business functions such as HR, finance,Marketing, product / project delivery, legal matters, third-party relations and building management.> A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.> Leadership and integrity.> Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.> Ability to come up with innovative ideas.> Strong financial, analytical and data-driven mind-set.
