Job Description

Gas SupervisorSalary: £39,000 pa + Benefits, incl. small vanCovering North Norfolk - Thetford - Norwich & Surrounding areasAn exciting opportunity to join East Anglias, leading boiler and heating experts. We are seeking a qualified Gas Supervisor with experience of leading a team of Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineers.This role will involve effectively leading the team to ensure delivery of high quality service through management of performance and day to day activities with regard to service expectations and legislative standards. You will work collaboratively with different stakeholders internally and externally to meet performance indicators and deliver service excellence.As the Gas Supervisor, you will be mainly office based in the Norwich area, compiling reports etc., as well supporting the Team Leader in the field. So, there will be some travel to sites across the region.Duties:

  • To support the day to day delivery of service excellence, ensuring quality, productivity and legislative standards are achieved.
  • To be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and meeting all key performance indicators and supporting the team in meeting these goals.
  • To ensure the successful delivery of all contracts, work types and required demand across servicing, maintenance and installation of heating systems whilst maintaining relationships with clients.
  • To investigate and resolve customer complaints whilst promoting high standards of customer care throughout the Team.
  • To ensure compliance with H&S regulations including gas safety and to manage any formal cases of breaches in policy or legislative requirements.
  • To undertake quality, safety and compliance audits providing documented feedback and to monitor these that are provided from your team leaders.
  • To be responsible for ensuring all Certificates and relevant training are kept up to date.
  • To keep team motivated and engaged to train and develop and support staff in accordance with company policies and best practice in order to successfully meet service expectations and operational needs.
  • Recruiting and onboard new team members, taking ownership and supporting the probation process as necessary.
  • To conduct regular 1-2-1s, provide ongoing technical support, understand career aspirations, and ensuring the health and wellbeing of the team.
  • To coordinate accurate and timely communication with your team and engagement activities to include the onboarding and induction of new starters, Toolbox Talks and agreed training and development activity.
    • Knowledge / Experience:We require candidates to have:
  • Have a high level competency as a Gas Engineer with proven experience in Servicing, Maintenance and Installation of heating systems.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of domestic heating would be desirable from survey to quality control checks, compliance requirements for servicing and experience as a breakdown engineer across multiple fuel types.
  • Renewable technology experience would also be desirable.
  • Experience of leading a team responsible for delivering service, maintenance and installations.
    • Qualifications:Essential: CCN1- Gas Safe, CenWat- Boiler + Water Heaters, HTR 1- Space heaters, CKR1- CookersDesirable: Oil (OFT 101, 105e, 600a)Salary: £39,000 pa - Fully expensed small van plus benefitsHours: 40 per week (8-5, Mon-Fri)Location: Norwich areaThe area you covered will be from the north Norfolk coast, Kings Lynn down to Thetford across to Norwich and surrounding areas.Please bear in mind that you may not hear from us straight away.
