Job Description

Location: NorwichHybrid working: 3 days WFH / 2 days office with the ability to work out of any of our clients offices around NorfolkSalary: to £60,000Atkinson Moss have been engaged to support this growth group, with an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious finance professional to join our client as their new Finance Manager. This is a client that prides itself on fantastic culture who willtruly promote you from within.Atkinson Moss are well placed to support your application having been engaged to recruit prior Finance Managers and SLT members for this organisation. We know them well.This role reports directly into the Head of Finance and will require you to develop senior relationships across the group. You will be responsible for leading a team of accountants and be responsible for reporting all monthly financial matters to the board,alongside the management of the finance team. You will be required to take a hands-on role in the financial running of the business, including the preparation and review of budgets/forecasts, management accounts.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • In this role you will lead the Rent and Service Charge team. You will have oversight of the annual rent calculation process and work collaboratively across the business to ensure we are able to deliver fair and accurate service charge fees to our tenants.This role has one direct line report, and 6 indirect line reports.
  • Essential Requirements: Management experience, Finance experience in a Housing specific sector, understanding of rent setting and service charging.
  • Main Challenges: Service charge, particularly, is a challenging and limited candidate pool, this role indirectly manages the area but needs to have relevant housing experience in order to pick up these areas quickly, and to be able to work collaborativelywith our housing functions.
