Creative Arts East is an arts and community development charity committed to bringing the very best arts and cultural activities to rural and under-engaged audiences across Norfolk, Suffolk and the wider south-eastern region. Through diverse funding and income streams, and with 25 years’ experience in this field, we have built and enhanced our rural touring offer to include live performance and cinema, alongside an enviable portfolio of participatory arts projects.Job Purpose:To manage all of Creative Arts East’s strategic financial activities, ensuring compliance with Companies House and Charity Commission regulations. To contribute to shaping the direction of the charity as part of the Senior Management Team. To line manage two managerial roles, including the Office Manager, ensuring operational resources run efficiently and effectively.Candidate qualities:Excellent financial acumen, good humour, strategic thinking, ability to present and explain complex financial information with clarity, creative problem-solving abilities, approachable managerial style.Terms:Contract: PermanentSalary: Ranging from £33,000 to £40,000 p.a. (pro rata), depending on experience (subject to 6-month probationary period)Hours: 110 days per year, based on 15 hours per week plus additional time for Board and audit preparation (days and times negotiable)Leave: 12 days including public holidaysMain office: Dragon Hall, 115-123 King Street, Norwich NR1 1QE (home working arrangements available in negotiation, or as per national restrictions)Responsible to: Executive DirectorResponsible for: 2 internal managerial postsAdvantages: Flexible working, enhanced annual leave package, Work Place pension Required skills
