Job Description

Finance ManagerNorwich (Office based)£40k plus fantastic benefits packageOur client, a successful business on the outskirts of Norwich, are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and forward thinking finance professional with strong problem solving skills. Reporting directly tothe Managing Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the short and long term health of the organisation.The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA qualified, however they will also consider someone who is qualified by experience. Solid IT skills and previous experience of implementing new IT systems within a business would be beneficial.In your role as Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

    • Processing daily bank payments, receipts and perform bank reconciliation
    • Carry out credit control duties & produce annotated reports for managing director review at least once a month
    • Production of monthly management accounts
    • Produce, review and submit ongoing sub-contractor applications
    • Review, issue and action "outstanding to invoice" process, to ensure invoices are produced in a timely manner
    • Monitor retention due dates and ensure applications are submitted to release
    • Ensure Sage stock records are complete (including stock locations, pricing etc) and assist with bi-annual stock check
    • Accurately process purchase invoices, in accordance with relevant cost centres and expense codes
    • Issue CIS statements & submit returns
    • Cashflow management & forecasting
    • Quarterly VAT reconciliation & returns and have a good understanding of reverse vat rules.
    • Monthly payroll processing for subcontractors. Employee payroll is outsourced.
    • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
    • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
    • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
    • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
