Job Description

Are you a Tooling Engineer or Fabricator with Tool Room experience or qualifications Perhaps you have CNC skills or are a Die & Mould Maker We are looking for a Tool Makeror Fabricatorto be part of the team, ensuring our tooling is produced quickly & accurately to satisfy our production requirements, in our Norwich based factories. TheToolroom EngineerorFabricatormust be able to deliver new tooling on time, have the ability of working to tolerances on drawings and complete refurbishing of older tools in an accurate and timely manner.What is the Role

  • Ensuring that the quality of the tools meets the design and production requirements
  • Ensuring that work schedules and completed work are done in a timely manner to meet demands
  • Responsible for repairs and modification of tooling
  • Produce work to drawings, sketches or verbal instructions
  • Ensure drawing are accurate and kept up to date
  • Work with the team on tool modifying projects and the continuous improvement of tooling
  • What we Need
  • Mechanical Engineering Qualification (City & Guilds as a minimum) or equivalent experience
  • Experience (or equivalent qualification) of working in a Precision Engineering environment, preferably a toolroom, working to tight tolerances
  • Proficient Skills in Milling, Grinding, Turning and Fitting.
  • The ability to multi task, communicate well, organise and find solutions.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures, engineering principles and the ability to do mathematical calculations
