Job Description

HutcheonMearns are pleased to be partnering with a long established East Anglian accountancy firm to recruit an Employment Taxes Manager. The last two years have seen this area of specialism in the profession becoming much busier. Changes such as furlough,work location and staff benefits leading to a general increased awareness in the need for tailored advice and practical solutions to employment tax issues. The firm prides itself on offering that advice and those solutions.This role will be key part of the management team within the Tax Advisory Group, providing specialist employment tax advice to our clients and colleagues. actively contributing to the growth of the employment solutions team whilst monitoring the qualityof work across the firm, identifying new risks and opportunities, and seeking to continually exceed client expectations.The Employment Taxes Manager will cover a mix of technical duties and responsibilities, business development and client liaison.

  • Drafting technically complex advice and supervise/review the work of colleagues
  • Identify risk by research and analysis of tax cases and changes to HMRC guidance
  • Managing the Firms compliance practices and wider risk management policies
  • Undertaking external speaking and internal training.
  • Seeking opportunities to develop and grow the tax advisory business
  • Developing database of potential clients. Writing marketing materials
  • Maintaining understanding of clients business
  • Awareness of the wide range services the firm offers
Candidates will be CTA qualified, or equivalent. Have significant experience within practice, working as a multi-disciplined team. Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadline and priorities. Experience of preparing and reviewing technically complexadvice. Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
