Job Description

Electrical EngineerNorwichCirca £50,000I`m currently recruiting for a well-recognised organisation based in Norwich for an Electrical Engineer.As the Electrical Engineer you will use technical knowledge to create solutions to suit customers problems. Suitable candidates will require both theoretical & practical experience of working with multiple electronic products.As well as working on maintenance programmes you will be involved in projects from concept anddesign, through to implementation, testing, handover and support.Responsibilities:

  • Identifying customer requirements
  • Designing systems and products
  • Being able to read design specifications and technical drawings
  • Research suitable solutions and estimate costs and timescales
  • Create models and prototypes of products using three-dimensional design software
  • Record, analyse and interpret test data
  • Propose modifications and retest products
  • Preparing product documentation, write reports, and give presentations
  • Monitoring products in use to improve on future designs
The successful individual will be passionate about customer experience and will manage customer expectations whilst delivering excellent overall support.The Successful candidate will have experience/ knowledge in:
  • An Electronics/Electrical Engineer; ideally with an interest in the IoT field
  • Familiar with ethernet and serial communications, GSM, satellite (L band) services and networking technologies
  • Able to produce clear installation and user manuals for new systems
  • Ability to teach others and support customer demonstrations
  • Knowledge of the marine industry/environment is advantageous
  • Basic understanding of IT networking is an advantage
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering to 2:1 or higher or completed apprenticeship in Marine and/or Electronics Engineering
  • Able to read technical drawings / wiring diagrams
