Job Description

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOROur client, a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, are currently seeking a highly motivated Database Administrator to join the Maximo Team within the Operations department, based in Norwich.This role reports to the Maximo Team Leader and you will be required to support the Maximo Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure safe, environmentally sound, reliable and efficient operation.This is a full time, 12-month FTC position.Working Monday - Friday, either 08:00 - 16:00 or 09:00 - 17:00.Do you have knowledge or experience of the following (desirable but not essential):

  • Excel, SQL
  • Maximo system (advantageous)
  • Knowledge and experience using data bases
  • Experience of Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) and databases
  • IT toolkit including MS Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam -
  • Oil & Gas experience or knowledge of offshore inspection process is desirable
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Data entry in CMMS Maximo (database) in timely manner and ensuring highest accuracy and quality
  • Entering completed works orders into the database, checking that correct information is provided (failure codes, history, hours etc.)
  • Apply updates within the database based on the information provided by operations (both onshore & offshore), planning teams and other support departments within the company
  • Create new equipment entries in the database ensuring correct information is captured
  • Creating comprehensive work packs for operations
  • Update asset registers and databases
  • Liaising with engineers, planners and operations to ensure correct information is provided and escalate any discrepancies found
  • Provide help and support to Maximo end users
  • Be aware of safety policies and procedures and adhere to them
  • General office duties
As the Database Administrator, you will be technical and proficient in working with and learning new applications and systems.
