Job Description

Technique Recruitment Solutions are proud to be working alongside a global machinery and print manufacturer based in Norwich. A new opportunity has arisen for a Cost Accountant to join their Accounts team. This position is full time 38 hours per week withthe opportunity of hybrid working after probationary period. As well as a competitive salary the company offers an excellent benefits package to include profit share scheme.The successful candidate will be qualified/part qualified,/approaching finals of CIMA / ACCA and will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment with detailed manufacturing accounting knowledge.Key Accountabilities• Operations accounting expert and business partner• Business product and job costing• Accurate, timely budget and forecast modelling• Business reporting with analytical commentary• Analysing, interrogating, and presenting, often complex, financial dataKey Duties and Responsibilities• Be the manufacturing accounting subject matter expert (SME) • Finance business partner to the operations and service management teams. Actively involved in daily operations briefing• Providing required data analytics and insight to identify, report and challenge the business• Management of the manufacturing AAI’s in the ERP system• Work with FP&A Manager to build and maintain a cost accounting system• Produce accurate job and product costings, working closely with manufacturing engineer and engineering teams to review BOM configurations• Manage standard costs within the ERP system, including running twice yearly update routines for the global enterprise• Key member of the budget and forecast planning team, driving deliverables and accountability for manufacturing data inputs and outputs.• Upload and maintenance of budget and forecast in ERP system• Be proficient in scenario planning working with FP&A Manager to produce required data to assist business decision making; including but not limited to make / buy analysis• Work with the commercial team to maintain synergy between costing and pricing, ensuring consistent approach throughout• Detailed monthly report of overhead recovery position and interrogation with operations teams, to ensure correct actions are taken• Deliver detailed cost per thousand information to management teams• Regional market reviews and management reporting• Support FP&A Manger in monthly business unit overhead review meetings, driving accuracy of financials and continuous improvement through continued support and insight to the management team• Support FP&A Manger with producing and maintaining dashboard reporting for key department metrics• Assist FP&A Manager with board report preparation and completion• Be the finance lead on all manufacturing projects Integral member of the NPD team, providing finance data and new product costing• Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function• Be a highly proficient report tools user (power user)• Be a continuous improvement lead and drive this through all activitiesSkills Experience
