Job Description

Position: Compliance ManagerReporting to: SMF16Location: Norwich (office based)Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00 or 08.30 to 16.30Due to the continued success and growth of our clients business, they are seeking to appoint a Compliance Manager to join their team in this newly created position.The role and responsibilities include:

  • Own, improve and expand compliance framework and monitoring programme - ensuring an effective and efficient approach to maintaining compliance.
  • Design and conduct ad hoc compliance audits to ensure that internal processes & policies are applied and identify control gaps and processes improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee the preparation and provision of timely, concise, and relevant compliance-related management information, as required by the Senior Management Team and Board.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of regulatory filings and other documents to regulators.
  • Enhance and maintain the firms money laundering risk profile, considering the firms customer, product and activity base, distribution channels, complexity and volume of transactions, processes and systems and operating environment.
  • Review Compliance-owned policies, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of these considering business and regulatory change.
  • Monitor internal and external business, regulatory and technology environments to identify new or emerging compliance risks and verify remediation of issues as applicable.
  • Develop and maintain a relationship of trust with all regulators, with proactive, transparent, and timely engagement.
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for regulatory compliance matters for relevant areas within the business.
To be successful in the role as a Compliance Manager we require the following skills and experience:
  • Experience in compliance with FCA regulated firms, with associated knowledge of FCA rules and regulatory environment
  • Experience and understanding of anti-money laundering and know-your-customer best practices within UK regulation.
