Job Description

NXTGEN are delighted to be supporting one of Norfolks most prestigious and recognisable businesses in their search for a new Commercial Finance Manager. The organisation have experienced fantastic growth in the last 12 months, both organically and throughacquisition so its a great time to be joining the team. As Commercial Finance Manager you will be on the front line of the decision making process, working closely with a range of stakeholders to influence key decisions and provide sound financial insight.You will support sales functions with insight on product performance and competitor insights to ensure they always have real time information to deliver increased margins and profitability. As Commercial Finance Manager you will also play a key role in thereview of new tenders to ensure these are profitable whilst also reviewing all potential capital projects to ensure maximum ROI. You will also work with the wider finance team to ensure quality financial data is shared across the business enabling better businessdecisions.Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Deliver key commercial commentary and insight on product performance including margins, pricing and competitor analysis
  • Business partner with sales teams to understand current forecasts as well as supporting with new customer tenders to ensure all business opportunities are maximised
  • Work closely with operational teams to identify opportunities to improve productivity and understand commercial capacity
  • Support cost centre budgeting and forecasting, ensuring budget holders have accurate financial data to make quick and effective decisions
  • Support the delivery of the month end accounts close for your chosen business units
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial reporting processes as part of the ongoing continuous improvement programme
Candidates will ideally be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with good commercial acumen and an inquisitive mindset. You will have prior experience working in a business facing capacity, influencing a range of stakeholders of key commercial issues.Excellent Excel skills are essential given the volume of data analysis within the roles and experience using Financial models would be significantly advantageous. Prior experience gained within a manufacturing or product based environment is also desirablegiven the nature of the business. Prior experience using BI systems and/or COGNOS would be significantly advantageous.
