Job Description

Title: Civil Design EngineerLocation: NorwichSalary: CompetitiveDue to an expanding workload, our client is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join the Civils team in their Norwich office.Working under the supervision of a Civil Engineer, you will report to your line manager as part of the Civils team and be responsible for the design, submission and approval of a wide and diverse range of projects including residential, educational, healthcare & commercial sectors.Key responsibilities & accountabilities:With a solid understanding and experience in the delivery of all infrastructure aspects of projects from a technical approval viewpoint.

  • Appropriate qualification in civil
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience within the house building sector and how it operates will be
  • Knowledge of all approval processes including Highways Section 38, 278 and Water Authority Section 104 technical agreements.
  • Ability to work with other design team members in the design process.
    • Required qualifications, skills and knowledge
  • Educated to an HNC/HND in Civil
  • At least two years post-qualification design experience in the civils
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills
  • Proficient in the use of Autocad and an understanding of Civil Engineering design packages such as PDS, Civils3D, MicroDrainage
  • Have a solid understanding of road, levels and drainage
