Job Description

Business Development Account ManagerRemote working - but on patch within East of England (Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, or Lincolnshire)£40k base + OTE + car allowanceFull time, permanentMy client is a fast-growing payments start-up and are excited to start the next phase of their growth, although trading for over 7 years and over 3500 trading clients, they still have the mentality of start-up business. They are looking to hire a dynamicand passionate Business Development Account Manager to cover the East of England.As a multi-award-winning digital payments platform, they work with clients to help their clients to pay for motoring costs, accessories, and other services through a variety of different payment options. They believe their product is customer-centric anda market leader.A bit about the role...

  • You will have two core responsibilities: customer acquisition and payments origination. The Business Development Consultant will be expected to enhance the portfolio of customers and with their established relationships across the East of England regionin locations such as Peterborough, Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge, including as far round as Luton.
  • You will be responsible for communicating the value proposition for clients and their customer, ensuring account activation, delivering on-site training and generating leads.
Key responsibilities:
  • Account management and relationship management of existing customer portfolio
  • Focus on generating a new customer segment and increasing advocacy, referrals and awareness
  • Conduct account reviews to analyse and boost the customers interaction
  • Develop strong and lasting relationships with dealerships, retailers, garages, and suppliers
Now a bit about youWhat they are looking for in you:
  • You will have a proven ability in consultative selling, and you will have experience of managing sales pipelines
  • You will have experience of full sales lifecycle management from first contact, to agreeing commercials, on-boarding and training
  • You are an experienced account manager, and will understand the importance and value strong relationship management, reporting key data and insights, and providing personalised updates on product development and new initiatives
  • Youll have a previous experience of delivering presentations to inspire and educate customers to the benefits of new products and services within the company proposition
  • Experience of negotiating and agreeing commercials is essential
  • Full and clean driving license; this role will require some travel to client site
  • Previous experience of software sales, new product or finance product sales would be advantageous
