NXTGEN are working closely with an expanding and award winning Chartered Accountants who are based on the outskirts of Norwich who are looking for a Bookkeeper to join the team. This is a new role due to the amount of new clients theyre winning that requirea quality bookkeeping service. This will see the successful candidate get involved in a number of different tasks that involve all bookkeeping duties, including maintaining the integrity of the ledgers, month end accounts, vat returns, client queries and payrollduties. This will be a brilliant opportunity for anyone with bookkeeping experience that wants a broad and varied role working on owner managed businesses to SMEs. For the right candidate there will be opportunity to progress and develop throughout differentdepartments within the firm in order to progress your career with 121 support, but equally if youre not wanting to progress and are happy at this level this is also a great opportunity.Key responsibilities will include: - Manage all bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients- Manage the preparation of VAT returns- Prepare monthly management accounts for clients with accompanying commentary - Processing of both purchase and sales invoices - Provide reports to clients and the Portfolio manager as requiredThe successful candidate will ideally hold an AAT qualification (or equivalent) or working towards qualification, however candidates without qualification that have bookkeeping experience will also be considered. Experience gained in an accountancy practiceor outsourced finance environment is highly desirable but not essential. Candidates will have excellent communication skills and will be confident when dealing with client queries. Experience using Xero and/or Sage 50 is highly desirable combined with goodExcel skills.
