We are currently looking for a Bioinformatician to join a leading Biotechnology company based in the Norwich area. As the Bioinformatician you will be responsible for leading on aspects of bioinformatics and help the organisations scientists to optimise pigment production by the virtue of metabolic modelling. An ideal candidate would have a strong mathematical / engineering / computer science background and have experience working in a team with wet-lab scientists. The candidate will work closely with the Microbial Engineering department but will report to Head of Informatics.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Bioinformatician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. leading on aspects of bioinformatics and help our scientists to optimise pigment production by the virtue of metabolic modelling.2. RNA Sequencing analysis.3. Data analysis.4. Genome-scale gene regulatory networks modelling.ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Bioinformatician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. At least three year of metabolic modelling2.
