Job Description

Our Your place to thrive brand, positions Orbit Homes in the market as an aspirational, contemporary and responsible housing developer. Weredelivering a truly varied range of homes, from private sale and shared ownership to affordable and social rent properties across the Midlands, the East and South East.We are recruiting a permanent Assistant Site Manager to manager our new homes development in the East of England.As one of our Assistant Site Managers you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising all direct labour as may be necessary and co-ordinate the activities of all the trades and disciplines involved on the site
  • Ensuring that all work is kept on programme and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are adhered to
  • In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control the sub-contractors on the site
  • Along with Site Manager ensure Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with company procedures as well as the provisions of Health and Safety legislation
  • Provide Holiday/Sickness cover.
What will help you make a difference:
  • Experience in a construction trades/ junior management role
  • Include the supervision of tradesmen and subcontractors, scheduling and calling off material orders, programming the works, snagging the works, and liaising with sales
  • The management experience should preferably have been gained on housing developments
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid Training
  • SMSTS
