Excellent role on offer for an Assistant Harvesting Manager who is looking to join a well-established, market leading company where no two days will be the same as well and working for a great employer that are well known to look after their staff.Do you have harvesting experience Do you have experience of managing large teams of people or looking to take your next step into managementEstablished for over 70 years this company manufacture, process, package and supply food products to a range of blue-chip manufacturers and retail outlets across the UK. Despite Covid 19 they have been extremely busy and have recently invested into state-of-the-artmachinery and have impressive growth plans in place over the next 3 years. They are therefore looking to recruit an Assistant Harvesting Manager ready for their peak harvest season.This role will involve managing 5 team leaders each consisting of managing up to 400 staff in peak season. You will assist the Harvesting Manager in the process of field and plant preparation, including the provision of appropriate farm services on a plannedprocess throughout the year; to deliver products in the best-possible quality and yield.The successful candidate will be required to deputise for the Harvesting Manager and will be expected to work a variety of shift patterns, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays during the peak season.This is a hands-on role and would suit someone with experience of managing large teams with great communication skills and is looking for a stable, varied, and autonomous role.
